Anchor & Plume accepts unsolicited manuscripts via our <a href="https://anchorplumepress.submittable.com/submit" target=_blank>online submission manager</a>. We accept simultaneous submissions and ask that if your work is accepted elsewhere, you inform us promptly. Only previously unpublished works will be considered for publication.

We publish:
:: Chapbooks and artist's books (12-24 pages)
:: Full length collections of poetry (30-64 pages)
:: Collections of hybrid prose, creative nonfiction, essays (32-140 pages)

We do our best to respond within six months. Please do not query before allowing us six months.

<b>Submit:</b>
:: Title submissions with your first and last names and genre.
:: Submissions should be double spaced, standard font, no unusual formatting for prose pieces.
:: All submissions should be accompanied by a brief cover letter and bio detailing your publication history (if applicable) and a summary contextualizing the manuscript you are submitting. Please include all necessary contact information. If a submission is accepted, you will be contacted via email.
:: Poets! One poem per page please (though poems may be longer than one page). Individual poems may have been previously published but the manuscript should not have been previously published. Please include notes within your manuscript identifying any previously published work (include dates).

If you would like us to consider your work for publication, we ask that you take the time to tailor your submission to our guidelines. If a submission does not adhere to our guidelines, it will be deleted without the favor of a reply.
